What is mediation?

There are many types of alternative dispute resolution. It is known to be a cheaper alternative to going to court. Courts are often unpredictable and it may take a longer process. Mediation is considered a less stressful alternative of resolving your dispute. Barristers4u will have a large pool of barristers who are experts in mediation and trained to give an alternative approach.

With our large batch of barristers, it would be quick to get an independent person to form the mediation. The mediator will have to hear it from both sides and come up with a resolution whereby both parties agree on the appropriate resolution. Mediators tend not give advice, but may make suggestions to help both parties. Compared to the courts, many would prefer this alternative as it is quick and efficient way towards resolving your dispute.

Types of mediation disputes

Where communication has broken between both parties, it would be useful to get someone external who can be impartial to the proceedings. In family law, it is typically a custom when both parties have broken down due to a divorce or if children are involved. The court process can be a little daunting for both parties and mediation may be the best procedure to deal with sensitive and personal issues.

In employment disputes, mediation would be a good tool between the employee and the employer. There are times where both parties are currently with each other, but to avoid further arguments and prevent any employment tribunal mediation would be a quicker alternative.

Another alternative would be in landlord or tenant disputes. These disputes are usually dealt within the county of high court. With mediation, it would be a better way to end the contract to get good deal. We have many barristers who can specialise in the mediation process and also be knowledgeable about the tenant disputes due to their wider knowledge.

There are plenty of uses for mediation as many contractual disputes; in terms of debt recovery can also be used. Mediation is seen to be the future and change the legal process to make it more easily accessible for the general public.

Why should I choose a barrister?

Mediation is designed for the legal procedure to be simple. It has a clear and transparent approach where both parties present their arguments in a formal/informal matter.
